Adapt the system to the workshop
A mining company in the CIS / Asia region implemented PPE video monitoring in its workshops. The project ran from November 2022 to February 2023 and focused on the protective equipment actually used at the site.
Why adaptation mattered
The customer needed checks that reflected its own workwear and PPE combinations. The implementation therefore included changes to the detection modules, reporting and models, rather than treating a generic configuration as the final operating solution.
Work performed
- Deploy a Health & Safety video monitoring system in the workshops.
- Refine the detection modules for the customer’s requirements.
- Adapt reporting to the required operational output.
- Retrain models using target data relevant to the PPE in use.
Documented result
The operator received a monitoring system configured for the actual workshop conditions and PPE sets.
What to carry into a similar project
Representative video and examples of the site’s protective equipment are important inputs. Acceptance should consider the required PPE combinations, camera viewpoints, lighting and the reports used by the operations team. These decisions help turn model output into a workflow that fits the workshop.
