A large oil and gas drilling company operating multiple production facilities in the CIS region.
Location: CISA shared video analytics approach was implemented across 12 drilling facilities to monitor recurring high-risk work and personnel safety requirements.
The multi-site requirement
Drilling facilities involve changing equipment positions, work at height and frequent movement of personnel around hazardous operating areas. The customer needed continuous automatic monitoring of occupational and industrial safety requirements across several sites.
The project brought these observations into a consistent monitoring approach while keeping the camera views and relevant zones specific to each facility.
Four groups of safety scenarios
The system checks use of personal protective equipment, safe movement on stairs, work at height with the required fall-protection equipment, and the presence of people in dynamic hazardous zones.
Dynamic zones are relevant where a hazardous area changes with the position or movement of equipment. The event is determined by the scenario and the operating context, not simply by finding a person in the image.
Implementation scope
The documented industrial deployment covered 12 production facilities. The reported implementation period ran from October to December 2024. Video streams were analysed in real time and incidents were recorded for the safety-monitoring workflow.
What the project established
The implementation demonstrates a repeatable way to apply four types of safety scenario across a group of drilling facilities. It provides a concrete multi-site reference for PPE, stairs, work-at-height and dynamic-zone monitoring.
A comparable rollout should define the required PPE, camera coverage and operating rules separately for each facility before reusing the configuration.
