Multimodal interpretation and RAG

Add contextual interpretation where supported by the configured components.

Role of multimodal processing

An MLLM component can interpret visual and textual input in a configured workflow. Define the task, model, prompt, input data and expected output. Its availability and resource requirements depend on the delivery.

Retrieval-augmented context

RAG supplies selected reference material to support interpretation. Define the permitted corpus, document versions, access rules and retrieval process. A retrieved passage does not establish that a generated conclusion is correct.

Validation

Test representative and ambiguous cases, including irrelevant or missing context. Check hallucinated details, contradictions, response format, processing time and information access boundaries. Retain evidence for human review.

Integration with events

Keep the original observation and evidence separate from generated interpretation. Define how operators see, verify and correct the result and how downstream systems distinguish it from measured fields.

Availability boundaries

The proposed Context workflow, chat over events and AI-assisted scenario creation belong to the development concept. They must not be treated as available in every Platform 4.0 release.

Verification, additional context and the shared LLM guide

Automatic verification can perform an event review instead of an operator when application of the result is configured. Additional context describes the event; it has a separate policy for applying the response. A context comment requested through a verification mechanism must not silently confirm or reject the event contrary to its task.

Detector confidence, language-model confidence and the operator’s decision are different measures. Do not combine them into one “system accuracy” figure without a defined method. Test the model and prompt together: the same text can behave differently with another model.

A simple contextual description can already be requested through verification. It is separate from the proposed advanced “Context” process with tags, regulatory references, recommendations and generation history. The latter remains part of the development concept, not an automatic implication of having a verification prompt.

Use the documentation and configuration supplied for your installed release. Environment addresses and access credentials are provided privately with the delivery.
