Sigma practical exercise: a reusable scenario with process conditions
The scenario development methodology shows how shared person processing can serve several related conditions: presence in a restricted-access zone, the danger zone of moving machinery, or the zone of an operating unit.
Frame → Shared detector → Tracker
├─ Restricted-access zone → Access condition → Result A
├─ Machinery zone → Reliable motion signal → Result B
└─ Operating-unit zone → Reliable operation signal → Result C
→ Consistent merge → Event creation / sending
First agree on the dictionary of zone and signal types. Configure actual polygons and equipment associations on the camera; use their semantic types in the graph. This allows one release to be adapted to several areas without manually rewriting each branch.
Define each branch's own result, temporal confirmation, and handling of an unknown signal. Test inputs updated at different rates: an old moving signal cannot be used indefinitely with a new frame. Merging branches must not lose the violation's origin or create duplicates of the same situation.
